I’m back with a look into another Pixi collection. Missed my previous previews? You can see the Vitamin C Collection review here, and the Glow Collection here.
The Pixi Pretties collection is a new collection created with 5 beauty gurus, consisting of an eyeshadow stick and pallette, liquid shadows, liquid lipsticks and highlighters. Take a better look into each item and collaborator below…
The Pixi Pretties Collection
My favourite piece from the collection is the Eye Heart Pallete*, made in collaboration with Heart Defensor. This is the perfect autumnal eyeshadow palette consisting of 8 matte and shimmer shades.
Beauty guru From Head to Toe created 3 pieces from the collection – the Glow-y Powders* and the Endless Shade Stick*. The Glow-y powders are highlighters that come in shades Fetch – a bronzey-gold, or Wednesday, a shimmery pink. Honestly – I’m not sure how these highlighters will look on my skin tone – I tend to go for more subtle/natural colours but I’m looking forward to giving them a try!
The Endless Shade Stick is an eyeshadow stick which I LOVE. It’s a shimmery bronze shade which is ideal for day-to-day wear, and the stick form makes it really easy to swipe on and blend quickly with a brush for that easy, quick look.
Next, Mary Maquillage created two lip and eyeshadow kits – both a Day Kit and Night Kit. The Day Kit* has a rose gold liquid eyeshadow, paired with a bold red lip. I would have said the red is a bit too bold for daytime, but it’s beautiful shade nonetheless.
The Night Kit* consisted of a darker shimmery shade for the liquid shadow – on first look, this might need a powder base to fully show, but I love the idea of a darker, bolder eye colour. This is paired with nude lip shade. Although these look great together, I think the lip shades in the day and night kit could have been better suited in the opposite!
Next up, RachhLoves created a beaut little highlight palette. The Layers Highlighting Palette* is made up of 5 shades of highlight: Lace – a natural glowy pink, Zipper – a pastel purple, Knit – a darker bronze, and Tee and Clutch – two larger shades which are more gold, then another pinky shade. I love the look of this palette, but truthfully I’m not sure how much use I’ll get out of it.
And finally, Chloe Morello collaborated on creating the Lip Icings*. These are 3 3D glimmer liquid lipsticks. Shade Parfait is an iridescent light pink shade. Sorbet is a blue shade, while the bright pink shade is called Bonbon. I’m not sure how often I’ll use these because of the shades, but I’m sure they’ll be fun to play with over Christmas!
