I’m a big fan of 3INA cosmetics make-up. From my experience, they produce good quality products for a good price, with some even becoming part of my daily make-up routine. Last month I was given the opportunity to give their skincare a try with their new collection Generation Skin.
Generation Skin is a cruelty-free, vegan range made in Europe consisting of all the products you need for a full skincare routine. It’s a skincare collection made for those of us who care about looking after our skin but don’t necessarily have the time for complex routines.
I introduced the whole collection into my routine a month or so ago now, so keep reading for my first impressions.
3INA Generation Skin
The Eyes & Lips Make Up Remover
The Eyes & Lips Make Up Remover removes all make-up – even waterproof – and is infused with hamamelis water and chamomile to soothe sensitive skin. It’s a dual-phase formula, meaning the product separates in the bottle but should be mixed when used. For me personally, this type of formula of make-up remover isn’t my favourite, just because I find it can feel quite greasy and uncomfortable on my skin. Unfortunately, I did find 3INA’s make up remover had a similar effect, but I don’t mind using this to get rid of the really sturdy make-up if I have a second cleanse with a different product to follow.
The Yellow Oil Cleanser
The Yellow Oil Cleanser is probably the one product I’ve avoided using the most, purely because I tend to steer clear from products that feel oily on the skin. Made with avocado, almond, sunflower and rice oils, the Yellow Oil Cleanser is said to be the perfect step in your double cleanser routine, helping to remove make-up.
I’ve rarely used the Yellow Oil Cleanser over the last few weeks, only reaching for it once or twice when I’ve had a face full of makeup. I’m not a big fan of the way this product feels on my skin, but because of it’s high oil volumes it does a great job of removing make-up. I can imagine it may appeal better for those who suffer from drier skin.
The Blue Gel Cleanser
The Blue Gel Cleanser is to follow the Yellow Oil Cleanser as the second step in the double cleanse routine. Made with aloe vera, it calms and refreshes the skin. I’ve been reaching for the Blue Gel Cleanser a lot more often, but I’m still not sold. I like the gel formula a lot more, but I feel like it’s missing a little. When I clean my skin, I like a product that lathers to feel like it’s really working into my skin, and the Blue Gel Cleanser struggled to do that. I’d be happy to use this in a double cleansing routine but would swap out the first cleanse Oil Cleanser for something that feels like it’s getting into my skin and doing a bit more hard work.
The Pink Toner
I was really excited to give The Pink Toner a go after using my Pixi Glow Tonic religiously for years. This should be used after a cleanse with a face pad. A 3 in 1 product, it claims to cleanse, refresh and tone the skin, whilst moisturising too.
The Pink Toner confused me, it has a pump with spritzes the product, so it wasn’t until now that I realised you were supposed to use a face pad to apply it! The product itself feels nice on the skin, but I think a few more weeks of using it properly will help me to decide whether I’m a fan or not.
The Sorbet Face Cream
The Sorbet Face Cream is a light-weight moisturiser to soothe and moisturise the skin as the last step in the skincare routine. I think this is one of my favourite products in the collection. I really love a light-weight moisturiser (the Clinique Moisture Surge was a fave of mine for a long time), which instantly sinks into the skin. It feels great once applied and is a great base for my make-up. The smell of this is a bit chemical-ly at first but doesn’t seem to bother me now I’m used to it. And the packaging of this face cream is definitely the most luxe of the whole collection, made of glass and feeling high quality and sturdy.
The Lip Balm
Post skincare routine, The Lip Balm is made with shea butter for daily lip moisturisation. I’ve had this sat on my desk for the past month and I’ve loved reaching for it for a little lip moisturising fix. The packaging of this is also a lot sturdier than the rest of the collection so would no doubt survive in the bottom of a handbag.
The Fixing Spray
The final addition to the Generation Skin collection is The Fixing Spray. This is an old favourite that I already have in my make-up collection, just with some funky new packaging. This is a great multi-use spray, perfect for primer, fixing or just to refresh your look throughout the day.
I’ve loved giving 3INA’s new Generation Skin skincare collection a go. For me, it was a real mixed bag – there are some products which have become part of my daily routine already, others I’d like to try out a few more times, and then one or two products I’ll probably avoid altogether.
Have you tried anything from 3INA before?
Lucy x
