3INA Cosmetics were a brand I was introduced to a few years ago now. On first introductions, they were a make-up brand I really liked the idea of, but never tried any further, until now.
The brand 3INA Cosmetics (pronounced mina) is a brand ‘born with a view to disrupt’, responding to a generation who approached makeup in a fresh, fearless and democratic way. They stand for a number of things:
Clearly, 3INA are a brand who have important core values, all of which I agree with. I’m already impressed by the brand, but let’s see how their top products perform.
The Fixing Spray retails for £10.95, and acts as a 3-in-1 product, used to prime the skin for make-up application, fix it in place afterwards, and keep it refreshed throughout the day. The formula is designed to hydrate, sooth and moisturise.
The key product I have in my collection that I can compare this too is the Urban Decay Setting Spray, which I use almost daily. The 3INA is a cheaper alternative. I find this ‘sprays’ a lot more product out, rather than being more of a mist, so I prefer to use the Fixing Spray as a primer, as opposed to a setting spray.
I love me a good highlighter. My current favourite is this one from Revolution, but I’ve enjoyed using the Highlighter 201 from 3INA. This is a lovely powder highlighter, in the subtle gold shade. I’ve enjoyed using this with a fluffy brush to add a delicate shimmer to my cheekbones. No bad words here!
The 24H Pen Eyeliner has been a very welcome addition to my makeup collection. This is your simple pen eyeliner, which I’ve found so easy to use. I’ve been opting for this more recently over my kiko eyeliner, just because the pen is so easy to apply, and it makes the flick easy. The only negative I’ve found about this is it can sometimes dry up slightly if the pen isn’t pointing downwards and the nib isn’t getting any ink into it.
The Cream Eyeshadow is one of the only cream products I have in my makeup collection. I had cream eyeshadows a long time ago, but this reminded me why I love them so much! This is light champagne, shimmery shade, and is SUPER creamy, making it really easy to apply and blend on the lid.
The Build-Up Mascara is a new Waterproof release that gives lashes the perfect definition and shape. I was excited to try this mascara, but for me it just didn’t quite do it! The brush head shape meant application was a bit clumpy and hard to get that defined look. The waterproof feature though, I can certainly vouch for – this was a toughie to remove!
The Longwear Lipstick was a product I had already tried previously. I got the shade 503 which is a lovely muted nude shade. I really can’t make my mind up on this product – on the application the lipstick is very runny and thin, which can be difficult. But, once dried it seems to stick for the whole day and doesn’t feel uncomfortable. If the formula was a bit thicker, it’d be perfect.
