What’s in my Autumn make-up bag?

What's in my Autumn make-up bag? | lucy-cole  Every single season I’ll switch up my makeup bag in one way or another. As the colder weather rolls in I like to wave goodbye to the tanned, glowy look and opt for heavier foundation and darker shades. Here’s what is in my autumn make-up bag:

The base…

I’m still in love with my It Cosmetics CC Cream for my base. I have it in shade Fair/Light and it’s the oil-free version. Despite being a CC cream, this gives me just enough coverage I need right now. I think when this tube runs out I’ll give either the original or the illuminator version a go.

Although not pictured, I’ve also been reaching for my Collection Concealer every day to cover up my dark circles and any nasty spots. This concealer is the one product which has stayed in my makeup collection for YEARS.

Instead of opting for a bronzer or highlight, although I do still put some of these on, I prefer to add some blush in the winter. The Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush palette has a mix of 4 coral, peachy shades which I love to use to add a bit of colour to my cheeks.

The eyes…

For eyes, I love to go to town with the golds, orange and deeper reds as autumn rolls around. I absolutely adore the colour of the leaves this time of year and get a bit of inspiration for my makeup from them. The palette I’ve been using to create more detailed, smokey looks is the 35 Colour Rose Gold Palette from Crown Brushes.

But when I’ve been a bit lazier and want to chuck one single shade on my eyes I’ve been using the Kaleido Cosmetics Highlighter in Astrolight. I’ve been too scared to use this as a highlight but for eyeshadow it’s perfect. It’s a gorgeous bronze shade that blends out super easily.

For my lashes, I’ve been loving the Bare Minerals Lashtopia mascara. It gives length and just enough volume for every day.

The finishing touch…

And the finishing touch? A deep shade of lipstick. I always love a deep red/burgundy this time of year, my favourite being the NYX Liquid Suede in Cherry Skies. This glides on so easily lasts brilliantly throughout the day. A different take on this shade is my sample size lipstick from Kat Von D. It’s in shade Mercy which is a really deep berry with specks of sparkle embedded within it.

Finally, just recently I discovered a little gem hiding away in my drawer. By chance, I was dressing up as a unicorn for Halloween (best day ever!) and stumbled across an old MUA lipstick in the shade Mulberry. This is a purple shade – something I was scared of before, but since wearing it I’ve fallen in love with the shade. I love that it’s still autumnal but a little bit different. I have to say the quality of this lipstick for the price is absolutely insane – I don’t need to top it up at all throughout the day!

What’s your go-to autumn makeup product?
