A month or two ago a PR parcel from a new brand appeared on my doorstep: skincare brand Good Molecules. Good Molecules are new on the UK skincare scene, having first started out in the US.
What is Good Molecules skincare?
Good Molecules skincare believe in skincare that works at a fair price. Founded by a team of beauty industry veterans, Good Molecules creates skincare solutions with best-in-class ingredients, backed by research and formulated for effectiveness. By working directly with top labs, Good Molecules offers products that target skin issues—like acne, redness, and hyperpigmentation—without the traditional retail markup.
The Good Molecules bestsellers
Good Molecules sent me 4 of their bestsellers to try: The Niacinamide Brightening Toner, Silicone-free Priming Moisturiser, Overnight Exfoliating Treatment and Niacinamide Serum. So, let’s take a look:
Niacinamide Brightening Toner
The Niacinamide Brightening Toner retails for 14 dollars and works to brighten and even skin tone, while minimising pores without the use of any alcohol in the ingredients. I love the fact all of these products feel high quality. The toner comes in a glass bottle, but the design of this bottle can make the dispensing a little tricky. I’d prefer if a pump was included.
Ingredients include:
- Licorice root extract to sooth inflammation and inhibit excess melanin production
- Naturally derived arbutin to improve the look of hyperpigmentation
- Vitamin c to boost skin’s ability to defend itself against free radical damage and promote collagen production
On the first few uses, despite the bottle being a little irritating to get the product out, I’m enjoying this toner just as much as the famous Pixi Glow Tonic.
Silicone-free Priming Moisturizer
The Silicone-free Priming Moisturizer from Good Molecules is a new favourite in my skincare collection. Formulated with macadamia seed oil, shea butter, and a naturally derived silicone alternative, this moisturizer works to strengthen, condition, and protect skin from environmental stress.
This is a super light moisturizer to create a smooth base for make-up application. So far, I’m a massive fan. I love how moisturising this is without feeling greasy or shiny on the skin – it’s the ideal make-up base for me.
Niacinamide Serum
The Niacinamide Serum is a day and night serum that works to refine skin tone and texture for a brighter, healthier-looking complexion.
I’ve been using this as a daytime serum – it sinks into the skin well which is great for underneath make-up. Although it’s too soon to say, I’ve got high hopes on this serum on working to reduce appearance of spot scars and skin texture.
Overnight Exfoliating Treatment
The Overnight Exfoliating Treatment is an overnight serum to help you wake up with a smoother, clearer complexion. The blend of 10% alpha and beta hydroxy acids helps to resurface and renew, smoothing away dead skin cells and unclogging pores to reveal visibly radiant skin.
I feel like this is a really deep treatment which I would be cautious of using too much, but once a week has been great for exfoliation.
So the verdict? So far, so good! I really love what Good Molecules stand for as a brand and don’t have any negative reviews as yet. For me, the moisturiser is the stand out product and has quickly become my favourite daily moisturiser, but I’m excited to see how I find the other products as time goes on.
Have you tried Good Molecules skincare? Are you a fan?
