When I first saw these PU leather shorts I thought “Oh no, what have I done?”, but having seen leather shorts been talked about all over my Instagram feed, I wanted to give them a go.
Despite looks hideous fresh out of the packaging, these Loavies shorts* are actually rather nice on. Comfy, and surprisingly easy to style, I can see leather shorts being the ‘it’ trend for this transition into Spring.
Are leather shorts the latest transitional trend?
I’m trying my best to move away from picking the safe option when it comes to fashion, and these definitely tick the ‘not-so-safe’ box. Although admittedly these would have been easier to style had they been black, I’m actually a big fan of the tan colour. Paired with this leopard print jumper*, also from Loavies, this makes the perfect look.
And let me tell you, I’m not lying when I say these are c-o-m-f-y. I picked them up in a size larger than usual, and the elasticated waistband is a dream – not awkward dance to try and squeeze my bum into these beauties.
The reason why I think leather shorts are the perfect transitional piece is because they’re perfect with tights for this colder weather (I’ve just picked up some cute pattern tights which I cannot WAIT to style with these), but when the spring sun arrives, they’ll be perfect bare-legged too. In the peak of summer, *might* not be the best time to wear them though…
