It’s been a while since I did a make-up post, hasn’t it? My autumn make-up bag has definitely changed a little since last year, but you might spot some similarities in this post! Every season as the weather and temperatures change, my make-up needs a little switch up too. And we all know autumn means warm, berry tones too.
My autumn make-up bag
Let’s go in a logical order, shall we? Starting with my autumn base, I’m moving between two at the moment. I can’t quite let go of the glowy finish of the Dior Forever Glow Foundation* just yet, so on days when I want lighter coverage, that’s what I’ve been reaching for. See the full review of this here.
On those not-so-good skin days, I’ve found myself going back to my firm favourite: It Cosmetics CC Cream. This has better coverage and it a little more matte as I have the oil-free version. If you want to see my full thoughts on this one, the review is here.
To finish my base, and hide those pesky dark under-eyes, I’ve been using the Revolution Conceal and Correct Concealer. This is a super hyped concealer, and although I like it, I’m still not convinced if I prefer it over the Loreal Infallible Longwear More Than Concealer. The jury’s still out! Any blemishes, I still turn to my trusty Collection Concealer.
For eyebrows, I use the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I’ve had this palette for YEARS now and still use it daily, using the two brown shades to fill in my brows.
Thankfully I’m still a little bit tanned from our trip to Rhodes, but unfortunately, I don’t have a foundation shade to match! So I’ve been doing my best to blend using the Hoola Bronzer. I recently bought my second pot of this – it’s a bronzer I’ve always found myself turning back to.
I’m also still *just* holding onto my lashes from holiday, so I’ve just had to use mascara to fill in the gaps for the last few weeks. For this job, my Wonder’full Mascara by Rimmel has done the job. I love the head of this wand – it does a great job of separating the lashes and doesn’t transfer throughout the day.
We all knew there had to be an autumnal eyeshadow palette in here somewhere. Introducing the Eye Heart Palette* from the Pixi Pretties collection. This is the perfect autumnal palette with beautiful brown, orange and red shades for this time of year.
And the finishing touch? Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, obvs! I bought another bottle of this in Duty Free recently, and it’s a must for keeping my make-up set throughout the day, whatever season it is.
