The 3 foundations I’m using on repeat right now

It’s been a while since I did a beauty-focused post, so while I was wondering what I could do, I went back to basics. Foundation is a staple for any male-up collection, and there are 3 I’m using on repeat now: Lotral Infallible 24 Hour foundation, It Cosmetics CC cream, and Dior Forever Glow.

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation

The top high-street/drugstore foundation in my collection right now is the L’Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation which I’ve got in shade 145 Beige Rose. This comes in a glass bottle with a handy pump. The Infallible Foundation promises a flawless complexion, with no visible imperfections, shines, or dry-out.

I use this when my skin isn’t it’s best, and needs that extra little coverage. One or two pumps buffed in with my Zoeva 102 Silk Brush and it works a dream. The colour match is a little off, I think next time I’d go for one shade lighter, but blended into my neck, it looks fine. It covers up my blemishes well feels light on the skin.

The 24HR is a bold claim, and something I don’t think any foundation can live up to. This will usually last a day at work for me, but will probably need one or two touch-ups, especially on my chin where I touch a lot throughout the day without realising.

If you’re looking for a good coverage, affordable foundation, the L’oreal Infallible is a good option to do for.

It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-free Cream

I think everyone and their nan has heard of the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream. I have the Oil-free version in shade Fair Light, which is an ideal match. I picked this up in New York last year and have repurchased twice since.

Although officially a CC+ Cream, this feels and acts more like a foundation. It comes in a tube with a pump, making it easy to use every last bit of product. I usually use one or two pumps and find this is a good option for days when I want a good coverage. It’s certainly a high coverage for a CC Cream, so stay away if you think this is going to be a light base.

Despite that, this does feel light on the skin. Compared to L’Oreal Infallible, I don’t need as much powder to set this – just a brush over my t-zone and I’m usually set for the day.

The It Cosmetics CC+ Cream little bit more on the pricey side, but well worth a try to see what the hype is about. You can try the original, the oil-free or the illumination version.

Dior Forever Glow Foundation

My final fave right now is the Dior Forever Glow Foundation*, a foundation I wouldn’t have tried if I wasn’t gifted it earlier this year. This comes in a clean and classy glass bottle, again with a handy pump.

As you’d expect from the name, Dior Forever Glow is a really light and glowy foundation. I truly fell in love with it over the summer while my skin was behaving. It’s a super light on the skin foundation, which I loved reaching for when I didn’t have any blemishes I wanted to cover up, but simply wanted to even out my skin tone. It gives a dewy-but-not-shiny finish, and probably lasts the best out of all 3 of my favourites.

Despite being Dior, this high-end option isn’t quite as expensive as you may think, with some places online selling it for as low as £33. So next time you’re looking for a higher-end option, don’t pass off Dior!
