The items on my autumn/winter fashion wishlist

As much as I preach about loving Summer, I’m kinda ready for autumn/winter fashion now. Get me all of the jackets, all of the neutrals, and all of the layerings asap, please.

Despite spring/summer being my preferred time of the year because of the weather, I think if we’re strictly talking fashion, autumn and winter are the winners for me. I’ve mentioned countless times about my coat/jacket obsession, just one of the parts of A/W fashion I love… I just wish I could justify buying more!

Beyond coats, you’ve got boots, my close second autumn winter fashion obsession. You’ve got your heels, your flats, your doc martens (which I’m considering finally purchasing this year) and you’ve got your black, white, snake print style… there’s no wonder I’m running out of storage space!

As we head into the colder months, I got a little bit too excited at the thought of new autumn-winter clothes, so put together a few of my favourites on the high street right now…

My top autumn winter fashion picks

The first piece that caught my eye, and subsequently is already nicely positioned in my wardrobe, is this Herringbone-weave shirt jacket from H&M. Not only is it light enough for this awkward transition weather as we limbo between summer and autumn, but it’s part of H&M’s conscious range and is made of 50% recycled polyester. Only £30 and you can feel like you’re doing your bit for the environment too!

Another style I’m seeing a lot of, and loving, is leather. This jacket from Topshop has this real vintage and rock and roll style, and although is different from my usual biker leather jacket, is something I’d love to add to my collection.

Despite my summer wardrobe being full of colour (my Instagram feed will prove it), it seems this autumn/winter I’m going to be far more drawn to the neutrals. Beige, camel, black and white, I love how timeless and chic a neutral look gives off, and I think a neutral wardrobe is likely to still be in style in 3, 5, even 10 years time.
