The 3 nude Mac lipsticks you need

I’m not a big lipstick wearer – something I really want to change. I don’t have those super plump lips and I’m not quite brave enough to wear bold colours. I’m slowly easing my way into the lipstick world with the occasional nude, and if I’m feeling really glam, I will hunt down my red lippies for special occasions. Now, I’m not going to lie, these are not only the 3 nude mac lippies I own but the only 3 mac lipsticks I own full stop. But nonetheless, they’re definitely lipsticks you need in your collection!

(Things have changed since then, see my top 3 morphe nude picks here.)

Left to right / Top to bottom: Creme Cup // Velvet Teddy // Mehr

My top 3 nude lipsticks:

First up is Creme Cup. This is a cremesheen lippy which is the perfect light pink shade for everyday wear. It is almost leaning towards the barbie-pink colour which I love! When applied, it’s slightly opaque with a nice shine and not too drying. Out of the three, this probably has the least lasting power because of its formula, but because of the lighter shade it’s easy to apply throughout the day without the need of a mirror!

Next is the highly-raved Velvet Teddy. I’m sure you’ve heard it all before, but you’re going to hear it again. Velvet Teddy is a matte lippy, in a dark nude, slightly brown tone. It glides on beautifully and isn’t too drying, although when my lips are having their dryer moments I like to stay clear, just in case!

Mehr is the last of the three. A beautiful darker nude with a hint more pink than velvet teddy, this is another matte shade. Despite being a bit bolder, it still works for everyday wear! Again the formula is lovely and only needs reapplying a couple of times throughout the day.

I feel like this little trio gives all the options for your daily nude. You’ve got your light, glossy shade, you’re in the middle and your slightly darker and bolder option. What one would you go for?
