How much leopard print is too much leopard print? Remember my rainbow print craze where I bought nearly every rainbow print item of clothing in existence? Well, I think I’m falling into a similar trap with the leopard print. (I’m still very much on the rainbow bandwagon too fyi).
This beauty is from River Island and is the perfect day dress. I wore it for the whole day around London when we visited a few weeks ago for J’s 21st birthday. We spent the night there, visited Junkyard Golf Club, had a delicious steak meal and saw School fo Rock the musical before spending the night in a hotel there. We had a ball of a time and this dress was ideal, especially with that crazy heatwave we experienced – hard to believe it even happened when there’s currently a torrential rainstorm as I type this!!

I feel like this dress defines my style brilliantly and has all the details I love in one dress. A tie around the waist to sintch me in, but flowy enough material to be comfortable to wear throughout the day, and the button-down detailing down the front and through the side. I love that it isn’t too short either – the perfect length mini so I don’t feel like I’m flashing throughout the day! I knew this dress would be ideal for work too. Something I’m really trying to do when I buy more clothes this Summer is buy items which will work for office-wear and casual wear.
The mini rucksack I’m wearing was also a special purchase for London. I wanted a new handy day-to-day rucksack to fit my essentials in. I’ve said before I’m not a handbag girl so this was ideal – fitting my camera, purse and drink amply. I also managed to bag it for only £16 in the Debenhams sale. I’m super tempted to get it in the baby pink version too!

Jamie’s just bought his new lens, and we’ve already planned a few photo shoot ideas and locations (including sunrise at Brooklyn Bridge), so I’m super excited for the content we can create. Even more so after I decided recently I wanted to start being more creative and enjoy the photography aspect of blogging more.
If you have any recommendations for places to visit/see or eat at in New York, send them my way!
