How on earth has December already rolled around? How?! It really feels like the last 3 months have flown by.. like blink and you’ll miss it flown by. It feels like despite it being over 60+ days since my last to-do roundup, I still have a to-do list the length of my arm and I’m wondering just how I’m going to manage to fit it all in. Why don’t we waste some time talking about what I need to do, rather than doing it…
Enter full Christmas mode
I bloody love Christmas. For me, December is the point of the year where you can go full steam ahead with the Christmas vibes. Christmas playlists on 24/7, decorations up, and permission to pig out for an entire month.
Every year I like to get into the Christmas mood with a visit to our local garden centre to see all the decorations, as well as a drive around the area to see all the lights. I think it’s something I’ll do every year for as long as I can.
Get Christmas sorted
If you know me you know I’m a bit of an organised freak – I don’t do last minute. I’ve got most of my ideas for presents this year sorted, it’s just a matter of buying everything now. I’m hoping to set aside an evening next week to just attack my credit card full on and get as much as I can online. The less I have to worry about the better!
Get some party outfits
After 3 years of uni, I’m finally working properly and have my first Christmas do this month. I’m looking forward to having a night out of the office with my team and getting dressed up, who doesn’t love a fancy evening of food, booze and good company? First of all though, I need to find a nice outfit. Right now I’m feeling something either velvet or a long jumpsuit.. any suggestions send them my way!
Enjoy some time off
Although I have had the odd day off since starting my new job, it’s all been pretty full on since. I’ve only recently dropped my working days from 6 to 5 and I think I need a well-earned rest. I’ve got a couple of days booked off over the Christmas break so I’m looking forward to some time out, Christmas movies and nights wrapped up in blankets with my boyfriend.
