It’s time for another Glossybox roundup! I find it so crazy how quickly the year goes by and therefore how often I find myself reviewing the latest Glossybox. But, spoiler: this month is a good one!!!
Although the box took on no theme this month and was kept as the classic plain pink packaging, the products inside followed a theme: Beauty S.O.S. This is a box of five essentials that will come to your rescue during the party season, just in time for next month!
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick
Let’s start with the most impressive in the box first – a Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick. This is a full-sized product and the shade I received was Girlfriend, a beautiful nude which I think would suit most skin tones. This alone costs £18 already showing the box to be extremely good value. I tested this shade on the back of my hand as soon as I opened the box and it lasted until the next day so I know this is going to be a staple in my lipstick collection.
Context Micro-derm Regenerator
The next product is a deluxe mini of the micro-derm regenerator by context, the product every gal needs after a heavy night partying right?! This is a two in one cleanser which uses professional microdermabrasion crystals that gently exfoliate, polishes and purifies. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated, and like many of Glossyboxes products now, it’s fragrance and cruelty-free too.
Stylondon Eaton Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is what I was next most excited about after the Huda Beauty Lipstick. This is a super handy pocket-sized palette by Stylondon – ideal for travelling, full of gorgeous bronze and red shades. This colour palette is my favourite for this time of year so they couldn’t have picked a better one! I’m keen to see how the shadows perform because it’d be perfect to take it on my city break in a few weeks!
Yourgoodskin Balancing Skin Concentrate
Another deluxe mini, this time from YourGoodSkin, this is a balancing skin concentrate made from green tea and vitamin C designed to help improve skin texture, moisture, radiance, oiliness and skin-tone evenness in just 28-days. That’s a lot of promise! I’m interested to see if it lives up to that…
Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment
We’ve covered the skincare and make-up, now what about the hair? The Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment is a hair mask which deeply conditions and restores damaged hair, cuticles and moisture levels. Just what you need when you’re applying lots of heat to it – something I do around this time of year. It’s also supposed to repel dirt meaning you can shampoo less and strengthens it too.
Finally is a lovely little scent by Chloe to chuck in your handbag, a perfect way to finish this theme off. I received Chloe Nomad although there is also the chance to get the classic Chloe Eau De Parfum too. Nomad is a mix of oakmoss and freesia and has really made me want the full-size bottle!!
I really loved this month’s box, the balance of makeup, skin and hair products was perfect and the theme is something I think every girl can resonate with this time of year. Now I just can’t wait to see what Glossybox do for December… perhaps a Christmas theme?!
