One of the key things Jamie and I were excited for in New York was creating a whole bunch of new content. I’m obviously love taking snaps for my blog and Instagram, and Jamie loves creating Instagram content and more recently, YouTube videos. Over the course of our time in the city, we managed to shoot in a whole bunch of areas, so today I’m sharing the top instagrammable locations in New York.

Top of the Rock & Empire State Building
Two obvious locations for that shot from above is the Rockefeller
Flat Iron
The Flatiron building is right near Madison Square Park on 23rd Street and another key location. We didn’t get any photos of ourselves in front of this one, but a quick search on Pinterest will bring up some fire fashion shots!
Dumbo
Dumbo is a super famous spot across the river in Brooklyn. It can get quite busy here so it might be a good idea to get there early if you can. If not, play around with angles like we did and you’ll still get some brilliant photos!
High Line
Not only is the High Line a beautiful path to walk along, you can get some brilliant shots here too! Look out from above on Midtown Manhattan or get some shots while you ponder in shade!
Central Park
I obviously couldn’t miss out Central Park. This place is absolutely massive and has so many locations to shoot at. Our favourite though was Gapstow bridge by the pond.
Washington Square Park
Washington Square Park is home to the famous Washington Square Arch and is a really cool place to check out. We came here at sunset and golden hour so managed to get some fun shots playing with the light,
Brooklyn Bridge… at sunrise
My final and best suggestion for instagrammable locations has to be Brooklyn Bridge, and if you can manage it, at sunrise! Not only will sunrise mean it’ll be a hell of a lot quieter making shots easier to take, it’ll also give you a bunch of cool lighting over the course of the sun rising. This was undoubtedly the best location for both Jamie and I, and we were so impressed with the content we took here!
Of course, New York is FULL of fab spots for photos, there is somewhere new hidden around every corner. All it takes is a bit of an open mind and knowledge of composition. You’re bound to come away with Instagram photos to last you weeks!
