Valentines, Galentines, or f*** it I’m treating myself because I can… whatever it is, here’s a handy little gift guide for what to buy her this Valentines. Want to know what to buy him? Check out this gift guide I prepared earlier…
What to get her this Valentines day
Underwear… and it doesn’t have to be super sexy
Underwear is an obvious one for Valentines, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be sexy underwear. Truthfully? I wear comfy underwear 90% of my time, and as much as I love feeling fire in a matching set, sometimes some comfies would make me just as happy.
In come, Sloanies: the luxurious, dead comfy, and sustainable underwear brand. Sloanies use sustainable fibres and dyeing methods and their Luna Triangle Bra* is possibly (read: definitely) the comfiest bra I’ve ever owned.
Trust me, ya gal will thank you for this one.
A giant cookie, obvs.
What’s better than a cookie for valentines? A giant ‘Bee Mine’ one, obviously. This Personalised Bee Mine Chocolate Chip Cookie* from Prezzybox is any sweet tooth’s dream. You can personalise with your own name or message, but I’ll be honest – the Bee Mine message would have me. Costing £9 this is an affordable option and one you can both enjoy (if she’s a sharer, which I am definitely not, soz Jamie).
A reason to relax
Every girl loves a Sunday afternoon, soaking in a bath and doing her full hair and skincare routine (and by full I mean, face mask, hair treatment, full exfoliation and shave). There’s nothing like a good pamper to make yourself feel good, and Manchester Candles have created the perfect Self Care Kit* just for that. Inside, you’ll have a handmade lavender soap bar, some mini bath bombs, a pouch of lavender bath salts, and their best selling lavender soy candle. All products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. It’s always nice to support an independent business too!
Something to capture the memories
A gift for those with a higher budget is the Fujifilm Instax Square Camera. I got my Fujifilm as a birthday gift a few years ago and I’m obsessed with it. Despite having digital cameras and phones to take photos, there’s something special about film and getting physical photos instantly. I think this is a super cute idea to record those special moments, and look back in years to come. Plus, it’s rose gold too!
A beauty box of goodies
So you’re a fella, and you know your girl loves make-up and beauty, but you have no idea where to start? Don’t panic.. a beauty box is the way to go! There are all sorts of beauty boxes out there, but the LookFantastic beauty box* is a fab option. I got their January edition, but their Valentines edition looks adorable. Want bonus boyfriend points? If you’ve got the budget, sign up to the monthly subscription.
Something smelly
I don’t know about you, but I am always grateful to receive some perfume. Shay and Blue are a brand I was introduced to last year, and Amber Rose* is a beautiful scent that I’ve had SO many compliments on. A sure winner!
Jewellery to accessorise
Jewel Tree London recently sent me two rings from their collection, including the Stack ring* and their Baori ring* and I think they’re such beautiful pieces, perfect for Valentines.
What are you treating yourself/besties/other half to this Valentines?
