If I’m ever struggling for gift ideas, I’ll always turn to food and drink. I’m 99% sure you can’t go wrong with it, as long as you’re on the ball with allergies, of course. For my second shop small guide, I wanted to focus on food and drink, so keep reading to find out what small businesses you could shop from this year.
Small business food and drink gift guide:

- Edmunds Cocktails – I was lucky enough to be sent a package of cocktails from Edmunds Cocktails last month. They’re a local company from Bury St Edmunds and sell bottled cocktails. They sell all the most common cocktails in 1L servings or my personal favourite is the monthly subscription box of 6 minis (individual cocktails). Sign me up!
- 1927 Smores Company – The 1927 Smores Company sell gourmet smores boxes. As well your classic flavour, they also sell Triple Chocolate, Pumpkin Pie and Salted Caramel. I love this gift idea because it’s a bit of an experience too, and perfect for a date night!
- Zeelicious Cakes – Zeelicious Cakes is a cake business owned by my superstar friend Zeinab. Alongside her cupcake boxes and bespoke cakes, Zeinab has introduced postable cake boxes. These are boxes that will fit through a postbox (so no need to worry about delivery), in 4 delicious cake flavours. My personal fave is Chocolate Blanc & Framboise, but others include Pornstair Caketini, Nutty Nutella or your classics. There’s 8 flavours to chose from so you’re sure to be spoilt for choice. I’ve ordered a few boxes myself and can vouch that they are absolutely delicious.
- Bake Lab giant cookies – Bake Lab is another small business ideal for those with a sweet tooth. Giant cookies delivered straight to your door, I love the sound of all the flavours they offer from Biscoff to Malteser stuffed.
- Slabachocs chocolate – Got a chocoholic you need to purchase for? Slabachocs provide personalised slabs of chocolate which you can load with your favourite sweets too. I love how personalised they can be, and they look super fun too.
- Holly’s Lollies – Holly’s Lollies is the home of alcoholic confectionary. Holly sells a massive range of goodies: lollies, drink stirrers and sweets that look and sound delicious.
- The Couture Cake Company brownies – The Couture Cake Company make delicious looking letterbox brownies. Or, if you’re looking to buy for a keen baker, their baking gift boxes make for a fun gift too.
- Champion and Reeves Nougat – Champion and Reeves sell luxury soft nougat in flavours like pistachio, soft cashew with Turkish delight and Italian rose cherries.
- Get Baked by Sian – Get Baked by Sian delivers fresh brownies, straight to your door. Chocolate Orange, Raspberry and White Chocolate and Classic – these look so yummy and Sian offers a subscription service too.
- Jeffery’s Tonic – Jeffery’s Tonic are handmade syrups with natural ingredients. These can be added to cocktails, or if you’re gifting for a non-drinker they work as a cordial for still drinks too.
- Chilli No 5 – If you’re buying for a spice lover, then Chilli No 5 is a great option. They sell healthy gourmet chilli sauces and have a few options suitable for different kinds of budgets.
- Safs Cake Shop cookies – Safs Cake Shop sells the most stunning handmade iced cookies – think Biscuiteers, only cheaper. She sells biscuits for every occasion which I’m desperate to try.
- BakedIn – BakedIn sells all kinds of baking kits. Cinnamon buns, mug cakes, prosecco cake – you name it, they’ve got it.
- Copper Made Fudge – Copper Made Fudge is chocolate-based fudge made in the National Forest. They offer different variety boxes of fudge, like pic n mix or nutty which all look delicious.
What are you most tempted by?!
