6 Reasons to love Valentines Day

Monday, 13 February 2017

Whether you have a partner or not, I think Valentines is a day to embrace! What can possibly be bad about celebrating love? Whether it's the love for your other half, or love for yourself, here are a few reasons why you should love Valentines day.

A reason to dress up
I love getting my heels on and smacking on that red lippy. You have a perfect excuse to do so with a romantic meal or a girls night out on the town!

Chocolate
An excuse to receive chocolate, or buy some for yourself and eat it. All of it.

Presents
It could be a gift exchange of flowers and boxers, or a treat yo'self to that amazing make-up palette you've had your eye on for ages, just for being a kick-ass single woman.

You can be CHEESEY!
I'm a hopeless romantic, and I love all the cheesiness in relationships. Valentines is the perfect opportunity to do that soppy insta post and not give a damn. You can be cheesey about your best friends too (queue Grey's Anatomy "you're my person")... or just eat some cheese.

It reminds you of what makes you happy
For me, it reminds me how bloomin' lucky I am to have met such a wonderful person I want to spend the whole of my life with. For others, it might be that it reminds you that you're much happier as a single lady, or perhaps it reminds you to remember what you're looking for in another person.

It's all about LOVE
Love is a wonderful thing, why the hell can't we celebrate it?!

  2. I totally agree!! V day doesn't have to be about romantic relationships. Even spending it alone, doing a mask and eating some prime chocolate sounds like a great night to me.

  7. I agree! Too many people these days jump on the bandwagon of hating Valentine's Day as it's just "a corporate created holiday"!

  11. I don't really care about Valentine's Day that much but the good thing is that after Valentine's Day, all the chocolate will be on sale and I'm so happy about it, haha!
