The pink wall

Friday, 28 April 2017

A couple of weekends ago Jamie and I headed to a local seaside town Aldeburgh aka blogger heaven. Aesthetics were on point.. so many adorable pastel coloured mix and match cottages and houses! I feel like I've finally made it in the blogging world with this classic pink wall pic - totes channelling those Hannah Gale instagram vibes...

Review: The M Botanicals Exfoliating Bamboo Cleanser

Tuesday, 25 April 2017

A few weeks back I was kindly gifted the Exfoliating Bamboo Cleanser from M Botanicals. The cleanser claims to Revive tired and dull skin  - Bamboo and clay mechanically exfoliate while strong plant based actives of Copaiba balsam, Acai and Andiroba help the skins ability to protect itself against hormonal breakouts. Natural fruit acids exfoliate and unclog pores bringing about a revived and smooth complexion.

The summer jumspuit

Friday, 21 April 2017

This is the perfect spring/summer jumpsuit! I can feel jumpsuits soon becoming a wardrobe staple of mine, especially those that are as comfy and easy to wear as this one.

Review: Anastasia Dipbrow Promade

Tuesday, 18 April 2017

I know I'm a bit late to the party now, but today I'm reviewing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Promade. I really have fallen in love with it since getting it last year and use it daily without fail - I couldn't help but feel it needed a blog post all of it's own!

She is the river flowing Orwell

Saturday, 15 April 2017

Yes that title is from Ed Sheerans song, and yes that is the river Orwell. Yup I'm from the same county as Ed. #claimtofame!! Jokes aside, I loved shooting here - finding new locations is something I'm really loving right now. It's amazing how many beautiful places are just around the corner!

Easter at Lush

Thursday, 13 April 2017

Easter is here and I was determined to get into the spirit and get an easter themed post out somehow! A couple of weeks back mum and I popped over to colchester for a bit of a shop and I picked up these new bath bomb goodies from the Lush easter range.

Summer Memories with Printiki*

Tuesday, 11 April 2017

The lovely people at printiki offered to send me some prints of my choice a few weeks back. With all the sun this month, and Jamie and I finally booking this years holiday (if you have any recommendations for things to do in Gran Canaria, let me know!) I thought it was about time I got last years holiday adventures printed!

By the seaside

Friday, 7 April 2017

We've been having the most beautiful weather recently!! Since coming home for my easter break I've been stuck indoors either writing essays or working so when I had a couple of days off last week I was so excited to get outside and enjoy a bit of the sun.

Wishlist: Gingham

Wednesday, 5 April 2017

Spring's trends are well underway, and gingham is most certainly in this year! Just a few days ago I picked up the cutest cut-out shoulder top from Primark in a gingham print, and I'm already pondering on the web for more pieces to add to my collection..

Book Review: After You by Jojo Moyes

Tuesday, 4 April 2017

Another book review, I am a bit slow on getting this up - this was my second read of the year and I'm now on my fourth - I've kept up with the 'book a month' thing really well so far! Now I did feel like a shame to the reading community when I read this, as it is the sequel to Me Before You which I haven't actually read, I've only seen the film instead (woops). I loved the film though so definitely need to pick up the book, even if I do know the ending!

Monthly roundup: March

Friday, 31 March 2017

Seriously, where has March gone?! It certainly seems to have been the quickest month we've had so far. I've been so busy this month with Uni assignments my blog has had to take a back seat. Lucky for me I managed to get a load of posts scheduled at the beginning of the month so the posts have still been coming twice a week! I'm so happy I've stuck with my schedule for 3 months now!

Not a lot happened in March, I've hung out with friends and been getting organised for my final 2nd year assignments at uni. At the beginning of the month I had the most amazing day at Derby Day - the universitys annual sports day if you like. Every year we play arch rivals Essex in every sport and it's such a fun day. I played netball which was such an intense game but we came out with the win, then enjoyed the rest of the day in the sunshine drinking - so many good vibes!!

I'm now back home for 4 weeks for Easter, and as much as I'd like to focus on my blog, I have 4 essays to write along with working practically full time and socialising with my loved ones in between! I hate having to put blogging to the backburner but hopefully I can rustle together a few posts to keep the schedule going!! Not much is planned for April, apart from work work work in every sense!

What did you get up to this month? What have you got planned for April?

Review: Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

Tuesday, 28 March 2017

When highlighters became all the rage last year, I questioned quite how I was surviving with only 2 in my collection. Off I went into town I get myself a third to start building my collection.

Top tips for keeping organised

Friday, 24 March 2017

I need a lot of organisation in my life, whether it's to do with blogging, uni work or just life in general. I need to know what's happening, when it's happening, when it needs to be done by and everything else in between. In that sense, I am the least laid back person ever, but it works out alright. I thought I'd round up for you my top tips for keeping organised, they seem to work out for me!

Review: The UniBox*

Tuesday, 21 March 2017

As you know, I'm a second year Geography student, and when I heard about The Unibox*, I knew I wanted to give it a try! I love the idea of all subscription boxes, but one catered especially for students? Perfect!

Starry Eyes

Friday, 17 March 2017

I am in luuuurve with this dress. Not only is it from Primark, I got it in the SALE from Primark! I can't actually remember how much I got it for, but it was £12 at full price which is already such a bargain!!

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

I've been slowly making my way through the drugstore foundations over the last few years, working out what ones are worthwhile and what are not so much. Next on my list was the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation!

Sandy Shores

Friday, 10 March 2017

I am so so SO happy with how these snaps turned out. Jamie and I ventured down to Shotley front a few days after Storm Doris hit and braved the winds and cold, and I am so glad we did. The shots came out beautifully, don't you think?!

Review: NYX soft matte lipsticks

Tuesday, 7 March 2017

Another day another review! Today I'm telling you all about the NYX soft matte lips. NYX, although raved about a lot over the blogosphere, is a new discovery for me! I can tell it's soon going to be one of my favourite high street makeup brands though.

The Shirt Dess

Sunday, 5 March 2017

These photos remind me of the good old days of blogging where I would stand in my room in front of my tripod snapping away. Nowadays, most of the time I'll drag Jamie out for location shots! What do you prefer? Indoor outfit shots or out and about on locations?

A day of shopping

Friday, 3 March 2017

About a month ago, one of my bezzies came up to Norwich to do a bit of shopping to celebrate her Birthday. Having modelled for her in A-Level photography projects a few years ago, I thought it was time I roped her into taking some outfit snaps for me!

Monthly roundup: February

Tuesday, 28 February 2017

Another month over.. February has been a great one for me, despite not a lot happening! A few weekends ago Jamie and I celebrated Valentines where he treated me with my first ever Spa day, which was ah-maz-ing. Another massage is needed pronto. We ended the day my favourite way - in bed with Dominos pizza. Talking of pizza, I have definitely consumed way too much of it this month. I've had a few get togethers with groups at uni which inevitably end in pizza nights. I think a detox in March may be needed.

My current day to day makeup

Saturday, 25 February 2017

Every now and then I like to give you guys a little update on my day to day makeup. My make-up collection hasn't changed dramatically in recent years, despite how much I'd like it to. I'm really eager to get into some more high-end brands and products, but with my student budget, and little time to go out and give brands a real search and tester, the majority of my collection remains highstreet.

Wishlist: Ruffles and Frills

Thursday, 23 February 2017

One of the trends I've been absolutely loving lately, other than the whole embroided thing, is ruffles and frills. When they first hit the shops I was a bit sceptical, it is such a feminine trend, is it too feminine for me? Those thoughts didn't last long though - if you follow me on instagram you'll know that I caved pretty quickly and bought this super cute pink flute sleeve jumper.

Book Review: The Girl Who Lied by Sue Fortin

Tuesday, 21 February 2017

One thing I wanted to do in 2017 was read more. I love reading and the feeling of never wanting to put a book down, but constantly find other things like trawling through social media getting in the way. When Christmas came around and I was gifted with a couple of new books for my collection, I decided to start one straight away, rather than save them for a summer holiday like I normally do.

The bug shirt

Friday, 17 February 2017

A few weeks ago Jamie and I popped up to Earlham park, right next to Uni. It's such a beautiful place and ooooh my god, the dogs!! There were so many dogs!! I've made it a new tradition that every time J comes to visit we head up there for some outfit shots and to see all the cute bundle of fluffs running around.

Skincare Wishlist

Wednesday, 15 February 2017

I haven't done a skincare wishlist for aaaages! I've actually been really happy with my skin recently, minus the odd period spots it's been keeping nice and clear which is something I haven't experienced in years. I feel like winter is a time for focusing on skincare though, it's cold outside and our skin takes a bit of a beating.

6 Reasons to love Valentines Day

Monday, 13 February 2017

Whether you have a partner or not, I think Valentines is a day to embrace! What can possibly be bad about celebrating love? Whether it's the love for your other half, or love for yourself, here are a few reasons why you should love Valentines day.

Valentines Gift Guide: For Him

Friday, 10 February 2017

We're onto the mens gift guide! I'm pretty sure I say this every single time I make any kind of gift guide for men, but are they not just the hardest to buy for?! As always, I've gone back to my 'safe' gifts for this gift guide. Men are usually pretty happy with anything! I think maybe this year I'll get Jamie a little something then treat him to a homemade Steak!

How to: Voluminous Hair

Tuesday, 7 February 2017

I've always had a love-hate relationship with my hair. It's always been a bit lifeless. Over the years I've found some products and ways of styling that help give it that extra bit of 'oomph' that I'm after. The first is in the washing! I always try to reach for a volumising shampoo, one of my faves brands being Aussie. I used to find skipping conditioning my hair helped with volume, but now my hair is coloured this is a step I really can't miss! Instead, I try to focus the conditioner on my ends, avoiding my roots as much as I can! Next is the blow dry, I feel an investment in a really good hairdryer is so important, such as the Panasonic Hair Dryer. It's so important to find a hairdryer that leaves your hair shiny, as opposed to dry and static. When drying, I like to tip my head upside down and dry the roots first, trying to lift them as much as possible. I haven't quite mastered the whole 'brush in one hand dryer in the other' that every hairdresser seems to do so well yet, but if you're as talented as that, you should totally go for it, as it'll add that little more volume you need!

Cosy Night In: The Essentials

Valentines Gift Guide: For Her

Thursday, 2 February 2017

It's February, which means valentines! I love Valentines - I think it's brilliant to be able to have a day to celebrate the love for your special someone, or if you're single, I think it's an amazing time to celebrate some self-love!! Jamie and I never do anything big for valentines gifts - I'm happy with some flowers and chocolates, although I thought I'd put together a little gift guide for anyone wondering what to buy the women in their life, or if you're alone, what to spoil yourself with!!

Monthly round up: January

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

January is always an odd month.  It's a new year, an opportunity for a fresh start and time to get stuck back into everything. I spent the first half of the month at home in Ipswich with my family. Half my time was spent doing both uni work and earning some money working in the bakery at Tesco, and the other half was spent spending time with my family and Jamie who had some time off work. As much as I love being able to come back home between uni and having some time to relax, I was really eager this year to get some work done and earn a bit of money to save up for a holiday, so working has been great.

Keep hydrated: Hydratem8

Friday, 27 January 2017

I find it super hard to keep myself hydrated throughout the day, it's been an issue ever since I was young when I used to suffer from migraines from dehydration quite frequently and severely. Of course, with age I've learnt how to know when a migraine is coming on and to drink plenty in attempt to avoid it developing, but sometimes when I'm busy working or at uni, it can be hard to keep hydrated all the time! We all know the benefits water has - better skin, flushes out toxins and provides more energy, so why is it so hard to keep on top of it?!

5 ways to make everyday a good day

Tuesday, 24 January 2017

If you know me, you know I'm one for positivity. Everyone has their down days but I am a firm believer of life's what you make it, and if you want to try and get rid of that poop attitude you seem to be having, you need to get up and do something about it yourself.

The £20 bloggers lamp of dreams

The yellow rainmac

Tuesday, 17 January 2017

Rainmac & Jeans - Topshop // Scarf - Primark

This coat is one of my favourite things ever. I mentioned to mum before Christmas how much I loved the bright yellow rainmacs, she listened, and she delivered. It's one of those items I don't think I'd ever buy myself, but i don't know why because it's friggin beautiful!

New in: the Zara jumper

Sunday, 15 January 2017

Last week I popped into Zara while I was back in Norwich for the evening and nabbed this beauty. It came in both light pink and grey, but I opted for the version with a bit more colour. I love the sleeves on this and feel like it's going to be the perfect spring transition piece!! I also picked up the cutest shirt in the sale which has lots of little bugs over it, I'm sure it'll feature in an ootd on the blog soon!

Winter Skincare Saviour: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Friday, 13 January 2017

For Christmas I finally got the much heard of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. It's something I'd had on my wishlist for a while but being a student, I tend to stick to the cheapest skincare possible! After all the raving on blogs in the last few years I had seen on this, I knew I had to try it!!

At first the scent of this put me off. In the past year I've stripped back my skincare and used really basic products that have very little scent to them. I don't know what it is, but I hate using products that smell strong, I like it to feel natural. This has a scent of ecualyptus, which I know does wonders for your skin, and the scent does fade quickly so it was an issue I got over pretty quickly! Despite this, I've actually really loved using it! I've used it in the morning and at night to take my makeup off and it's left my skin feeling really fresh and clean! I was actually surprised at how well it removed my makeup at the end of the day!

I feel like it's a bit too early to comment on it's full effect on my skin, but so far, so good! I don't seem to have had any major breakouts for a while now (touch wood). I'm really looking forward to continuing to use this to see how it's working for me a few months down the line!

Do you use Cleanse and Polish? What do you think of it?

Wishlist: Boots

Tuesday, 10 January 2017

 1 // 2 // 3

 4 // 5 // 6

 7 // 8 // 9

A few weeks ago in the sales I did something I massively regret. I walked past a pair of rose gold boots on sale for a tenner. Ten pounds. I'm still not quite sure why I did that. To help me deal with my stupidity and this mistake, I've decided to make a little booties wishlist. Unfortunately none are as cheap as a blooming tenner (yep, ten little pounds, still kicking myself) they are all just as stunning.

Dungarees in winter

Saturday, 7 January 2017

Dungarees & Jumper - H&M // Shoes - ASOS

There's one small thing that's really annoying me in all of these pictures, 5 gold stars if you spot what it is!!...

Have a nosey: Room tour

Thursday, 5 January 2017

I love having a nosey at other peoples rooms, and my room at home in Ipswich is something that I'm actually really proud of! Being the youngest of 3 siblings, I had the smallest room of the lot. But when my oldest brother moved out for university a few years back, I was allowed to move into his room and redecorate! It took a very long time but I'm so happy with how it looks now. It's such a bright, room, perfect for working in. I spend pretty much all my time in here!

Super easy Cinnamon Swirls

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

On New Years Day, Jamie and I, being the greedy pigs we are, made the easiest cinnamon swirls in the world! They were so quick and easy, and so delicious I felt they were worthy of a spot on my blog!
