Orangiscle NYX Butter Gloss

Tuesday, 27 June 2017

NYX are no doubt becoming my favourite drugstore beauty brand, especially for their lipsticks. Recently when I took a browse at their stand in Boots, I decided to switch up my lip game a bit. As much as I love my mattes, I thought it was about time I went for a bit of a gloss.

Garden Homeware Wishlist

Sunday, 25 June 2017

Yellow chair and table set // grey corner sofa // plant pots // copper plant pot // picnic blanket // blue bench // rattan daybed

This beautiful weather has got my lusting for allll of the evenings spent out in the garden with a barbie and some bevs'. Although I'm totally not in the position to be purchasing gardenware yet (my own house would probably be a good start), there's nothing wrong with a little lusting right? First stop is some comfy furniture, and Fishpools Garden Section have totally got that covered. Anyone else seen Zoella's new crib and that massive corner sofa? So dreamy. Instead of sofas, I had a browse at their daybeds, the kind of thing I can totally imagine in some foreign sunny country. At least with the design I've chosen, it's a bit more waterproof for when the English summer decides to end!! I loved the idea of introducing lots of colour into the garden and the M&S table and chair and sofa brings just that. Throw in a plant-print blanket and some adorable plant pots and you're good to go!

What's your fave gardenware?

Backpack Love

Friday, 23 June 2017

Two outfit posts in one week? I really do spoil you guys. I'm pretty sure I came close to my death shooting these - it was last Sunday which was sweltering hot. Jamie and I went to town on the shooting as soon as we found this location and I treated him to a iced smoothie from Costa afterwards as a payment for these fab shots.

Slogan Tee and Pink Denim

Tuesday, 20 June 2017

I wore this outfit for a date night J and I had a few weeks ago, but we were in such a rush we didn't get to shoot it in time, so here we are! Finally got my hands on a classic slogan tee which have been everywhere recently, and paired it with some comfy jeans and a super cute pastel pink denim jacket.

Summer Skincare Switch Up

Friday, 16 June 2017

Since I've been back at home after finishing my second year of Uni, my skin hasn't been that great. For so long I've stuck to the same skincare routine, which was using the basic Cetaphil range. I'd decided to strip it right back to something gentle and easy a while ago, which at the time seemed to work, but now not so much. I'd been using Garnier's Micellar water to remove my makeup, washing with and moisurising using Cetaphil. Being a blogger, it's difficult not to want to try the latest beauty products beinf raved about, so when ASOS had a 20% off deal on, and I had built up a few vouchers on their A-List system I decided to make a purchase to try a few more bits.

NKD Skin Pre-Shower Tan

Tuesday, 13 June 2017

With the summer months here, I'm determined to get my tan on. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to fake tanning, and the thought of jumping right in scares me a bit, so when I saw this NKD Skin Pre-Shower Tan, I thought it would be the perfect product to ease me in..

Tower Bridge

Friday, 9 June 2017

Two weekends ago Jamie and I went on a little day trip to London. He bought me a trip up the Shard and some scrummy Afternoon Tea for my birthday, and we had the best time. Being the brilliant blogger boyf he is, he even took some time out for a little outfit photoshoot in front of Tower Bridge for me!

NYX Lingerie

Tuesday, 6 June 2017

Since I saw the NYX Lingerie range, I've been dying to get my hands on some of it. The biggest challenge was knowing what shade to get, so many nudes to choose from! Eventually, I went for Bedtime Flirt, although I think I'd be happy with any of them. I'm not a particularly knowledgeable gal in terms of lipsticks so they all looked pretty similar to me!

Dainty Jewellery for Summer

Friday, 2 June 2017

When summer time comes around, I'm reaching for my dainty jewellery way more. Gone are the days of jazzing up an outfit with a big ol' chunky necklace, and in are the simple, sophisticated pieces. Today I'm sharing some of my favourites!

Summer Accessories Wishlist

Tuesday, 30 May 2017

I love putting together a good wishlist, and today I'm here with a Summer accessories one! The weather we've been having has been sooo beautiful recently it's got me lusting on everything I'm going to need for my Summer plans. I've got a field trip to Spain, V festival with Jamie and then we're both off to Gran Canaria to end the summer off! All my plans definitely deserve a few new accessories...

Boohoo Bloggers X Dress of the Month

Friday, 26 May 2017

I was SO excited when I had an email through from Boohoo asking if I wanted to get involved with their Bloggers X Dress of the Month campaign. It's all about different bloggers styling Boohoo's dress of the month to the way that suits them best. A few weeks ago the mystery dress arrived and I couldn't wait to show you guys how I decided to style it..

Uni Stress Relaxation with Amazon's #BigNightOff

Wednesday, 24 May 2017

Whether you're at uni like me, school or work - it can all be a bit stressful sometimes. Lucky for me this year I managed to dodge the exams but the countless essays sure are just as nerve-wracking. Despite finishing my second year, the stress hasn't subsided as I dive straight into my dissertation so I'm all prepped for when September comes around again. Lucky for me, at my uni Amazon Student have given away the perfect bundle for a stress-busting evening with all my bezzies.

10 things I want to do in my 20s

Tuesday, 23 May 2017

I'm officially an adult! Today is my 20th Birthday and I can't quite believe that I'm saying goodbye to my teen years. Becoming an adult is SO scary but I know there are so many exciting things to come. While typing this up I just realised how ironic it is that I'm talking about being a grown up and yet the image to this post is me, outside a toy shop, with bubbles. Gotta keep a bit of kid in me haven't I?! To have a bit of fun I decided to make up a list of 10 things I want to do in my 20s - it definitely seems like the next 10 years are going to be the most life-changing of all so here goes!

Review: ZOEVA Coral Blush Palette

Friday, 19 May 2017

It's very rare that I ever treat myself to new makeup, especially makeup that hasn't been all over the blogosphere, but when I stumbled across the Zoeva Coral Spectrum Blush Palette on beutybay a few weeks ago, I thought why not?

Review: NYX Finishing Powder

Tuesday, 16 May 2017

Being  a gal with a skin type slightly more on the oily side, powder has always been something really important to my makeup routine. I once had an obsession with Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder, but after smashing it endless times and repurchasing, I decided to turn to a loose powder. I'd been using Natural Collection's for a while, until I saw NYX's finishing powder while shopping a few weeks ago. I adore NYX's lippies, so I thought it was about time I tried some other bits of their range..

Birthday Wishlist

Saturday, 13 May 2017

Cluse Leather Watch // Cluse Mesh Watch // CT Pillow Talk Lipstick // Nike Leggings // RI Purse // Frame Quote // Duvet Cover // Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set

Uuuurh, how do I turn 20 this month? I am not ready to adult. To help ease the thought of this, I decided to fix myself up a little bday wishlist.

Recipe: Acai Bowl

Thursday, 11 May 2017

When Acai bowls hit the scene a year or so ago, I knew I had to give one a go! The perfect healthy morning treat, they are so easy to make and can be switched up to suit you.

You know what you're doing to me

Monday, 8 May 2017

I had the best weekend. Jamie came up to Norwich like he does every other week and we had so much fun exploring Norwich. It's such a gorgeous city which we often take for granted. Now he's got his own camera and I'm back to blogging frequently it's so much fun venturing further out of the city to find cute little spots like this.

The 3 nude mac lipsticks you need

Friday, 5 May 2017

I'm not a big lipstick wearer - something I really want to change. I don't have those super plump lips and I'm not quite brave enough to wear bold colours. I'm slowly easing my way into the lipstick world with the occassional nude, and if I'm feeling really glam, I will hunt down my red lippies for special occasions. Now, I'm not going to lie, these are not only the 3 nude mac lippies I own, but the only 3 mac lipsticks I own full stop. But nonetheless, they're definitely lipsticks you need in your collection!

April Favourites

Tuesday, 2 May 2017

I'm a bit rubbish at doing monthly favourites - the months all merge into one and I don't realise when I'm constantly reaching for the same products. This month I stayed on track and decided to jot down bits and pieces when I realised they were breaking into my routine..

Monthly Roundup: April

Sunday, 30 April 2017

April has got to be one of the quickest months so far this year for me. The end of March saw the end of my second semester at uni so lucky for me I've spent 4 weeks at home, my favourite place to be! I've been working quite a lot but I'm not going to be paid until May which is a pain but will be SO nice having a big wedge of dollar put in the bank ready for Summer! Other than that, I've been busy writing essays and spending time with Jamie, friends and family.

The pink wall

Friday, 28 April 2017

A couple of weekends ago Jamie and I headed to a local seaside town Aldeburgh aka blogger heaven. Aesthetics were on point.. so many adorable pastel coloured mix and match cottages and houses! I feel like I've finally made it in the blogging world with this classic pink wall pic - totes channelling those Hannah Gale instagram vibes...

Review: The M Botanicals Exfoliating Bamboo Cleanser

Tuesday, 25 April 2017

A few weeks back I was kindly gifted the Exfoliating Bamboo Cleanser from M Botanicals. The cleanser claims to Revive tired and dull skin  - Bamboo and clay mechanically exfoliate while strong plant based actives of Copaiba balsam, Acai and Andiroba help the skins ability to protect itself against hormonal breakouts. Natural fruit acids exfoliate and unclog pores bringing about a revived and smooth complexion.

The summer jumspuit

Friday, 21 April 2017

This is the perfect spring/summer jumpsuit! I can feel jumpsuits soon becoming a wardrobe staple of mine, especially those that are as comfy and easy to wear as this one.

Review: Anastasia Dipbrow Promade

Tuesday, 18 April 2017

I know I'm a bit late to the party now, but today I'm reviewing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Promade. I really have fallen in love with it since getting it last year and use it daily without fail - I couldn't help but feel it needed a blog post all of it's own!

She is the river flowing Orwell

Saturday, 15 April 2017

Yes that title is from Ed Sheerans song, and yes that is the river Orwell. Yup I'm from the same county as Ed. #claimtofame!! Jokes aside, I loved shooting here - finding new locations is something I'm really loving right now. It's amazing how many beautiful places are just around the corner!

Easter at Lush

Thursday, 13 April 2017

Easter is here and I was determined to get into the spirit and get an easter themed post out somehow! A couple of weeks back mum and I popped over to colchester for a bit of a shop and I picked up these new bath bomb goodies from the Lush easter range.

Summer Memories with Printiki*

Tuesday, 11 April 2017

The lovely people at printiki offered to send me some prints of my choice a few weeks back. With all the sun this month, and Jamie and I finally booking this years holiday (if you have any recommendations for things to do in Gran Canaria, let me know!) I thought it was about time I got last years holiday adventures printed!

By the seaside

Friday, 7 April 2017

We've been having the most beautiful weather recently!! Since coming home for my easter break I've been stuck indoors either writing essays or working so when I had a couple of days off last week I was so excited to get outside and enjoy a bit of the sun.

Wishlist: Gingham

Wednesday, 5 April 2017

Spring's trends are well underway, and gingham is most certainly in this year! Just a few days ago I picked up the cutest cut-out shoulder top from Primark in a gingham print, and I'm already pondering on the web for more pieces to add to my collection..

Book Review: After You by Jojo Moyes

Tuesday, 4 April 2017

Another book review, I am a bit slow on getting this up - this was my second read of the year and I'm now on my fourth - I've kept up with the 'book a month' thing really well so far! Now I did feel like a shame to the reading community when I read this, as it is the sequel to Me Before You which I haven't actually read, I've only seen the film instead (woops). I loved the film though so definitely need to pick up the book, even if I do know the ending!

Monthly roundup: March

Friday, 31 March 2017

Seriously, where has March gone?! It certainly seems to have been the quickest month we've had so far. I've been so busy this month with Uni assignments my blog has had to take a back seat. Lucky for me I managed to get a load of posts scheduled at the beginning of the month so the posts have still been coming twice a week! I'm so happy I've stuck with my schedule for 3 months now!

Not a lot happened in March, I've hung out with friends and been getting organised for my final 2nd year assignments at uni. At the beginning of the month I had the most amazing day at Derby Day - the universitys annual sports day if you like. Every year we play arch rivals Essex in every sport and it's such a fun day. I played netball which was such an intense game but we came out with the win, then enjoyed the rest of the day in the sunshine drinking - so many good vibes!!

I'm now back home for 4 weeks for Easter, and as much as I'd like to focus on my blog, I have 4 essays to write along with working practically full time and socialising with my loved ones in between! I hate having to put blogging to the backburner but hopefully I can rustle together a few posts to keep the schedule going!! Not much is planned for April, apart from work work work in every sense!

What did you get up to this month? What have you got planned for April?

Review: Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

Tuesday, 28 March 2017

When highlighters became all the rage last year, I questioned quite how I was surviving with only 2 in my collection. Off I went into town I get myself a third to start building my collection.

Top tips for keeping organised

Friday, 24 March 2017

I need a lot of organisation in my life, whether it's to do with blogging, uni work or just life in general. I need to know what's happening, when it's happening, when it needs to be done by and everything else in between. In that sense, I am the least laid back person ever, but it works out alright. I thought I'd round up for you my top tips for keeping organised, they seem to work out for me!

Review: The UniBox*

Tuesday, 21 March 2017

As you know, I'm a second year Geography student, and when I heard about The Unibox*, I knew I wanted to give it a try! I love the idea of all subscription boxes, but one catered especially for students? Perfect!

Starry Eyes

Friday, 17 March 2017

I am in luuuurve with this dress. Not only is it from Primark, I got it in the SALE from Primark! I can't actually remember how much I got it for, but it was £12 at full price which is already such a bargain!!

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

I've been slowly making my way through the drugstore foundations over the last few years, working out what ones are worthwhile and what are not so much. Next on my list was the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation!

Sandy Shores

Friday, 10 March 2017

I am so so SO happy with how these snaps turned out. Jamie and I ventured down to Shotley front a few days after Storm Doris hit and braved the winds and cold, and I am so glad we did. The shots came out beautifully, don't you think?!

Review: NYX soft matte lipsticks

Tuesday, 7 March 2017

Another day another review! Today I'm telling you all about the NYX soft matte lips. NYX, although raved about a lot over the blogosphere, is a new discovery for me! I can tell it's soon going to be one of my favourite high street makeup brands though.

The Shirt Dess

Sunday, 5 March 2017

These photos remind me of the good old days of blogging where I would stand in my room in front of my tripod snapping away. Nowadays, most of the time I'll drag Jamie out for location shots! What do you prefer? Indoor outfit shots or out and about on locations?

A day of shopping

Friday, 3 March 2017

About a month ago, one of my bezzies came up to Norwich to do a bit of shopping to celebrate her Birthday. Having modelled for her in A-Level photography projects a few years ago, I thought it was time I roped her into taking some outfit snaps for me!

Monthly roundup: February

Tuesday, 28 February 2017

Another month over.. February has been a great one for me, despite not a lot happening! A few weekends ago Jamie and I celebrated Valentines where he treated me with my first ever Spa day, which was ah-maz-ing. Another massage is needed pronto. We ended the day my favourite way - in bed with Dominos pizza. Talking of pizza, I have definitely consumed way too much of it this month. I've had a few get togethers with groups at uni which inevitably end in pizza nights. I think a detox in March may be needed.

My current day to day makeup

Saturday, 25 February 2017

Every now and then I like to give you guys a little update on my day to day makeup. My make-up collection hasn't changed dramatically in recent years, despite how much I'd like it to. I'm really eager to get into some more high-end brands and products, but with my student budget, and little time to go out and give brands a real search and tester, the majority of my collection remains highstreet.

Wishlist: Ruffles and Frills

Thursday, 23 February 2017

One of the trends I've been absolutely loving lately, other than the whole embroided thing, is ruffles and frills. When they first hit the shops I was a bit sceptical, it is such a feminine trend, is it too feminine for me? Those thoughts didn't last long though - if you follow me on instagram you'll know that I caved pretty quickly and bought this super cute pink flute sleeve jumper.
