top - dorothy perkins // jeans - topshop // trainers - next

I ended up spending just £2 on this checkered top, using a voucher I got for my birthday a few months ago. I think it's possible that I now own every single checkered shirt under the sun. I can already tell at uni I will live in checks and leggings all day every day. Also may I point out a recent purchase - my slip on trainers from next. I've wanted a pair of slip ons for ages now but my skinny feet had refused until now! They're the comfiest things ever.

bare shoulders

Wednesday, 26 August 2015

I love this top so much, even if my brother did say I looked like an old lampshade. I've loved the bare-shoulder trend this summer, just wished the English weather gave me more opportunities to dress like this!! For £16 from Topshop it was a steal. Have you got into the bare shoulder trend this season?

Life as as a student: one month to go

Sunday, 23 August 2015

Exactly one month today I'll be settling into my new home: the University of East Anglia. I'm attending UEA for 3 years to study Geography.

University is something I've always had my heart on. I love to learn and be in a learning environment, and the social aspects have always appealed to me just as much. They always say university will be the best years of your life. Despite it being a scary process, I know it's the right thing for me and this time in 3 years I'll be grateful to have done it, with hundreds of memories and new life experience learnt.

Thankfully UEA isn't far from my hometown, Ipswich. It's far enough away for me to feel independent but close enough for me to jump on a train when I need a mummy cuddle or a proper homemade meal. Nonetheless, it's still a very daunting thing for me. I'll be living on my own for the first time with complete independence, some of which I haven't yet gained! I'll be leaving my family, my friends and my boyfriend and made to make new ones. I'm excited to meet new people and start new adventures, building both my experiences and myself as a person.

Did you go to uni? Do you have any tips for me?

My current favourite artist: Oh Wonder

Friday, 21 August 2015

It's not very often I write about music. I've always been a music girl, right back to my fangirl days (the fangirl emotions are very much alive, hidden inside of me.) Around 6 months ago I pondered across the South-London duo 'Oh Wonder' on spotify. I patiently wait every month for them to release a new song - something they've been doing since January and will be until December, also, something that apparently, hasn't been done since 1992. Their songs are the perfect chill out tunes, with a soft beat and clearly well-thought lyrics, So good, I find it impossible to pick a favourite.

the denim skirt

Wednesday, 19 August 2015

This skirt has got to be my top summer purchase. I haven't taken it off since I bought it a month or two ago. Styling it with a basic white tee is my favourite along with my special necklace I got for my 18th and as always my MK watch. I also had my hair cut as it had started to get a bit too long and although this shorter style is still pretty brave for me, i'm tempted to go even shorter.. what do you think?

bare shoulders take 2

Monday, 17 August 2015

Although I felt a bit like a mime artist in this outfit, I once again fell into the deep, dark whole of stripes. My mum has a crazy obsession with striped clothing and her wardrobe probably consists of 80% of just that. Clearly her taste is rubbing off on me, especially as I bought this and another striped top together last week. How many stripes does a wardrobe need? (infinite numbers, of course).

I didn't realise quite how long it had been since I last did a blog post. I am officially the world's worst blogger! Here's what I have been up to..

A2 exams came along and I was locked in my room revising for a good couple of months with a little break in between to London with my boyfriend to celebrate my 18th, We did a bit of sight seeing and Jamie spoiled me with tickets to see Les Miserables.. it was amazing!

With A2's also came leaving school and celebrating with year 13 prom.. a very emotional time having been there for 13 years, I will miss it!

Next came a very exciting trip, me and 11 of my bestest girlfriends flew to Tenerife for #Girlsontour! I can't believe we all made it there and back in one piece! It was one of the best weeks of my life and I will never forget all the amazing memories we made.

The travels don't stop there.. a few weeks ago I had 2 nights exploring Brighton with my wonderful Mummy. We shopped lots, ate lots, got lost lots and got very windswept!

I also just got back from another 2 night trip to London with Jamie to celebrate his 18th Birthday! I am now a very poor girl and need to find some money before September!

My summer has already been so amazing and I've got plenty more to look forward to. Tomorrow I will get my A Level results, which I am definitely not looking forward to, but after that I have my trip to New York at the beginning of next month and I'll finally be starting University!!! I am so nervous but excited to start a new adventure! Hopefully I can get back into blogging and share my University experience online.

What have you guys done with your summer?
