Ready or not

I took this photo while taking all my other OOTD's to schedule a while ago and because I'm a lazy slob I couldn't be bothered to put any tights on. So just to say, I would definitely wear tights with this dress if I were to wear the boots! This midi dress was one of my favourite Christmas presents. I sent mum out to get it just before Christmas to give to Santa and I'm so happy she did. It's in my favourite colour maroon and gives a much older and more sophisticated look rather than letting the flesh hang out! I also love the fact you don't need to add anything to it. I tried pairing it with a necklace, but it just ruined it! I always moan about my outfits being far too simple, but in this case, simplicity is key!

Ebay Wishlist #3

Thursday, 25 April 2013

So many of my current favourites in one wishlist, arghh!! Let's start with the obvious one, the shoes. Studs/spikes, that is all. Secondly, I am loving these designer fake tops/jumpers at the moment, like the popular celine tee and rottweiler jumper dupe. I hate it when people try to wear expensive brands and act like they're real but it's so obvious they're fake, whereas this trend puts a whole different twist on it. I just adore the vintage shades, my brother has my dads very old ray bans which are similar to these and they're just SO gorgeous! I find myself stealing them every summer. Have you found any ebay bargains recently?

Spring Clean: How I clean my brushes

Thursday, 18 April 2013

Spring. The season the sun comes out, the dust shows and it's time to clean everything. What better time is there to go through with you guys how I clean my make-up brushes?

First I fill my sink up with luke-warm water just to soak everything. I'll rub each brush inbetween my fingers to try and release some of the yuck they've picked up while using them. If the water looks as if it needs changing already, I will then empty it and refill it again so they're not soaking in dirty water!

Next I individually wash them with this foam from Superdrug. I bought this originally for use on my face but it didn't really help so rather than wasting, I use them for my brushes. I figured with the tea-tree it should get rid of all the badness which I rub on my face daily, which probably is a big contributor to my breakouts! Using this usually get's rid of the majority of foundation in the brushes. I use one pump at a time and just rub it all over the brush head using my fingers, rinse and repeat until it's no longer necessary. This is the stage where a new sink of water is definitely needed, so the next step is to empty the dirty sink and reload it with clean water to soak them one last time.

The final step is drying. After I'm completely happy all of my products have been rinsed out my brushes I will squeeze each brush lightly with a towel and then lay them down on it, preferably under/next to a radiator. These should dry in time and et voila, fresh, like new, brushes.

How do you clean your brushes?

I'm Loving.. Neon

Thursday, 11 April 2013

I am so excited that neon is in for this Spring/Summer, it's going to be fun reliving all those younger years. I remember having a bright pink top for one of my dance shows and having a big set of beads which I would ALWAYS wear. I was so ashamed and embarrassed that I was seen in such things. I think the main mistake was neon overloading. I am absolutely loving the monochrome outfits where just a touch of neon is added using a simple accessory like a beanie or bag. What's your favourite way to add a bit of neon?

Instagram Update #3

missing kingswood // reasons I love my mum // easter choccies!
making mums signature rocky road! // Making the cat a dalek is much more fun than homework // our cheesecake mmm
love a bit of lippy // girly films // bobbie had a sleepover!

Thursday, 4 April 2013

It's finally feeling like Spring outside and I'm loving it. I find spring sun so uplifting and pretty, regardless of the temperature. I've been spending my first week of my Easter holiday revising, walking, working out and eating. I'm pretty sure the whole working out isn't benefiting me because of the last thing. We've got so many things to eat right now as mum and I made chocolate cheesecake and rocky road because of the lack of chocolate we had during lent. I'm actually not that keen on it anymore.. I know, I must be ill!!

I really need to start making my outfits a bit more out there, they're all so simple!! I absolutely adore these shorts from OASAP. I love oversized clothes and roll up shorts so these were perfect for me. They arrived unrolled which I liked as I could style them how I liked. I also love how they're high waist, because as you already know, I hate showing too much belly!! It's nice being able to wear a cropped tee and not worry about too much flubber escaping! Can I also just point out... flicked eyeliner guys!! I can (finally) almost do it! It's taken me a long time but I'm nearly there. Soon I'll be a complete eyeliner pro!

Review: Soap And Glory Cleanser

Tuesday, 2 April 2013

Everyone loves a bit of Soap and Glory and after wanting to get something new for my skin, I decided to try this Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk. I am thoroughly enjoying this product. You need one small pump and it's the perfect amount to cover your face. You rub it in, using twice as much on the affected areas and then simply rinse off. I use this twice a day, once when I wake up and once before I go to bed. It claims to remove make-up and it does, however not eye make-up, if I ever use this in the shower, it does sting slightly when it runs into my eyes. Although, I have seen reviews where this hasn't been a problem for some! I suppose it depends how sensitive your eyes are? After using it my face feels soft and it does help with any pores/red areas but not dramatically. I'm pretty sure this will last a good 2 months.

Overall, I am impressed and think this product is worth the money. I will continue using it however I am still on the hunt for something that will minimize my pores and red areas further. Do you recommend anything?
